Group President/CEO Dr. Ahmed Olaniyi Salawudeen, an accomplished Insurance Practitioner is presently the President/Chief Executive Officer of STANDARD GROUP OF COMPANIES. He is a graduate of the College of Insurance Surbiton Surrey having qualified as a Chartered Insurance Practitioner in the year 1976. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, a Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. Also, He is a Fellow of The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and has served in the Council for many years as a Council Member. In the year 2012, Dr. Salawudeen received a Commonwealth University Master Class Certificate in Strategic Leadership from the London Graduate School and was also awarded a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Management (Specializing in Insurance) from The Commonwealth University Belize. Both events were held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He has attended various Insurance Courses within and outside Nigeria including the Master of Energy Training Courses and International Aviation Insurance Training organized by WILLIS. In addition, he has attended African Aviation Finance Conferences both in Nigeria and in South Africa. His career growth to Top Management was very fast due to the level of his intelligence and impact in both Local and International Insurance Firms where he served before setting up his own company STANDARD INSURANCE CONSULTANTS LIMITED in Nigeria. Samuel A. Olalemi

Mr. Samuel Adesina Olalemi is an Executive Director (Marketing) in Standard Insurance Consultants Limited.
He started his career with Nigeria Hotels Limited after having City & Guilds 151 in Hotel Management in the year 1970. He has Diploma in Hotel Management from International Centre for Advance Technical and Vocational Training, Turin in Italy 1975. He served as a General Manager for various hotels and hospitality management firms in and outside the country between 1977 to 1995 and retired as the Director of Marketing with NHL in 1996. During his working experience in different positions, he attended many Marketing / Management Development Programmes in Nigeria and overseas with specific focus on Winning Difficult Prospects and Retaining Existing Clients. His Insurance career started when he joined The Standard Insurance Group as the Executive Director (Marketing) responsible for the cultivation of International Insurance & Reinsurance Programmes including but not limited to Oil & Gas, Aviation, Marine and General Insurance Business. He has attended several Insurance Training Programmes and Conferences both at the Local and International levels. He is married with children.
Fred has been in the Insurance Industry for over a period of 3 decades and has successfully handled Claims of values with experience in Underwriting of various classes of Insurance and he has been involved in loss adjustment as well as Marine Superintendent.
Mr. Ishie is an Associate member of the Institute of Commercial Management Berkshire England and also an Executive member of American Institute of Management, Boston. He is a member in Council of the Nigerian Corporation of Registered Insurance Brokers and he served as the Branch Chairman (West) of the Organization. He attended and successfully completed a Professional Insurance Training Course covering aspect of Energy & Complex Risks organized by HSBC Insurance Brokers in London as well as Master of Energy at WILLIS Limited. His experience and understanding of Energy and General Insurance Placement has assisted the SICL Energy Team to be in the forefront of Energy Business in Nigeria.
Legal Advisor/Business Development Executive
Zainab Bakare is the Legal Advisor and Business Development Executive of Standard Insurance Consultants Ltd. She is a Graduate of Law from Hertfordshire University in the United Kingdom. Zainab is an expert in the field of European and International Commercial Law as well as Nigerian Law.
She has undergone Insurance training in the Oil and Gas, Marine, Aviation & Space both locally and internationally. She is currently a Member of Chartered Insurance Institute, London with a Certificate in Insurance as a prelude to Associate Chartered Membership with same Institute. Zainab works closely with Clients Project Teams including their Legal and Insurance Advisors ensuring quality Insurance Service is provided to the Companies Clientele; as well as ensuring the Company continue to follow legal and regulatory framework provided by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). She is the Team Leader for SICL Quality Assurance Team in the area of service delivery. She has been able to set up a robust service delivery mechanism in the Organization through which we have been able to provide first–class and quality Insurance services to many. She has also been able to imbibe professionalism and integrity in to the Organization’s culture and SICL has been able to enjoy flexible yet unrivalled solutions through her input. She is a very soft-spoken person, with a very strong interpersonal skill, able to streamline Organization operations to meet its vision.
Rabiu S. K. Adamu
Chief Coordinator, Northern Operations
Rabiu S.K Adamu is a Graduate of Business Administration and Management from Kaduna State Polytechnic, Zaria. He enrolled at Aflon Computers Institute, Abuja where he obtained a Diploma in Micro Computer Operations and Management and also qualified as an Oracle 10g and 11i Certified Professional.
Rabiu started his Insurance career at Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation where he served as a Youth Corper in the Administration Department. He gained over 10 years experience in Underwriting and Claims handling working with the Standard Insurance Consultants Limited as an Assistant Underwriting Executive. His dedication to underwriting, claims and marine activities as well as attending several Board of Trustees meetings gave him a rise to his present position as the Chief Coordinator (Northern Operations) in charge of Underwriting, Claims handling and other Administrative activities generally. He also attended the Willis Masters of Energy Training both in the Year 2011 and 2013 in London (UK). Rabiu S.K is presently pursuing an Associate Course with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and has attended series of Seminars, Meetings as well as Workshops in Insurance generally. In addition, Rabiu S.K qualified as an Associate of Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), the Chartered Institute of Administration (ACIA) and a Full Member of the Portfolio Management Institute (MPMI) and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Certificate from the Nasarawa State University, Keffi. Furthermore, Rabiu recently concluded a Masters in Business Administration programme from the National Open University. He is happily married.
Augustine E. Ayi
Chief Operating Officer Augustine Ayi began his Insurance career with Leadway Assurance Company Limited in1984 and after a brief stay with Leadway, he left the service for further studies and on completion of his studies, he joined Equity Assurance Plc, now SUNU Assurances. While in Equity Assurance, he worked as a Claim Officer for a number of years before he was reassigned to Head, Reinsurance Unit. As a result of his outstanding performance, commitment to his assigned duties and effectiveness, his function was enlarged/increased and his Unit upgraded to Reinsurance and Special Risks Department. He later joined SICL as a Head, Reinsurance Department in 2017 and was later elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2018. Augustine, has acquired over fifteen years’ experience in Underwriting, Claims administration and Reinsurance. He is a member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, CIIN. Apart, from his role as the COO, Augustine with his strong background in Reinsurance Technical Accounting, Portfolio analysis and Reinsurance pricing, design and negotiate suitable reinsurance programmes for use by Underwriters. He also evaluate Reinsurance programmes presented by Underwriters to ensure adequacy of cover and to protect the interest of SICL Clients. He is very up-to-date with Regulatory issues concerning INSURANCE AND REINSURANCE MATTERS. Communicates with client effectively both internally and externally. He is very hard working, dedicated, focused and Result- Oriented person. Mr. Ayi is a graduate of Insurance from Institute of Management and Technology (I.M.T) Enugu and has attended several technical training within and outside the country.

With fantastic design courses in General Insurance, Life, Oil & Gas , Marine, and Aviation, he has been able to impact Insurance skills to various Staff in Standard Insurance Consultants Ltd. His style of training is very informative, delivering brilliantly to meet the Organization needs . He has attended various Insurance Courses in Oil & Gas, Marine, Aviation , General and Life Insurance within and outside the country. He has that sole responsibility of ensuring that our Personnel are adequately equipped to face our various Clients needs and demands. He has been able to integrate the various training attended by the Staff to the implementation of the satisfaction of our Clients. He also has the responsibility of working with Compliance Team in ensuring that the various Regulatory Requirements are adhered to by the Organization in meeting our Clients’ request. Oladele B. Zacchaeus

Oladele heads the Information Technology Department of Standard Insurance Consultants Limited. As an Information Systems Specialist with extensive Management abilities, he is particularly interested in attaining appropriate return on ICT Investment by aligning ICT implementation with the Business direction. He has extensive experience in implementing the strategies in accordance with the business focus.
He is an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager with over 15+ years progressive technical and business management experience on the IT role in the service industry- working with organizations to clearly define, structure, and implement technology solutions creating a uniform, high quality output, cost-effective resource model (Lean Methodologies), while maximizing team performance to improve the effectiveness of the Business service delivery. His experience in ICT industry spanning various roles from Technical, Project/Product Management, Business Development and Learning. His role spans across but not limited to providing technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple business processes from definition phase through implementation and applying significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients. He is responsible for recognizing system deficiencies and implementing effective solutions by suggesting alternative technical solutions to improve the service delivery in meeting Client requirements more efficiently. He has also participated in courses on General & Life Insurance, Marine, Aviation & Space and Energy thereby enhancing his skills in Insurance Business generally. Oladele is a graduate of Computer and Information Science, a Microsoft Certified Professional, a holder of Honours Diploma in Network Engineering and Project Manager. He is a member of various professional bodies including the Project Management Institute USA. He has advanced his knowledge and skills in Information Systems/Project Management and Leadership by attending various business meetings, programs, seminars, workshops and Certification Courses in Nigeria and Overseas. He has a strong passion for improved technology and he is solution oriented, two strong points which have earned him a place in the Group.
